Keep All Surfaces Clean
One of the most important jobs in cleaning any office to keep all surfaces free of dust using a disinfectant cleaner which will also help to keep them germ free, a very important factor in offices as germs are spread easily with a number of people in the office all moving around. You will need to work around messy desks as it is not your job to tamper with the Client’s and their employees’ paperwork. Generally, employees know the day or days you are coming and tidy up so you can clean their desk properly but sometimes this doesn’t happen, so do the bits you can. Polish wooden surfaces and wipe down leather chairs. Dust wipe ornaments, etc putting them back as you found them.
Clean The Floors
Vacuum all floors and mop those that are not carpeted. It is a good idea to keep a carpet stain remover on board incase of any spillages on carpet. Steaming or shampooing is not generally part of your regular clean and may be asked of as a separate issue.
Windows & Blinds
Most Clients will employ a window cleaning company certainly for the outside windows. However you maybe required to clean the inside ones. Do on a rota basis, particularly if there are a lot of them. Notice dirty marks and clean off on each visit. Don’t forget the glass in doors which often get finger marked. Dust the blinds, again on a rota basis as these can be quite time consuming.
Empty Bins
Must be done on every visit. Usually then put into large container and each office bin uses needs to be replaced with a clean bin liner.
