1. Give your Shower Cubicle an Initial Rinse
First of all rinse the tiles, floor, and walls of the shower cubicle with hot water for a couple of minutes. This will remove some of the scum and also expand the pores of all surfaces which will make it easier to clean properly.
2. How to Clean Your Shower Head
This task is often missed out when cleaning a bathroom and it shouldn’t be as limescale will build up in the small holes of the shower head and will eventually need replacing. So unscrew the shower head and remove it. Place it in a bowl of warm water to which is added vinegar or detergent and leave for a few hours. Then scrub with a brush.
3. Remove soap scum from shower tiles and other surfaces
Buy a good lime scale remover product and spray on the surfaces and leave for a few hours. Scrub with a brush. Make sure to open windows when doing this.
Next, you’ll want to get rid of all the soap scum, body fat and other residues, from your shower. Just spray on one of the many shower cleaning products available at your local store, leave for 20 minutes to an hour, and then rinse it all off. Always make sure to always read the label of cleaning products before use. Keep the bathroom well-ventilated and always using gloves and protective clothing.
4. Clean the Grouting
Now for the tile grout, a pretty tedious job but if done regularly it’s a doddle. Using a grout cleaner rub it into the grout and leave for a few hours. Then using an old toothbrush and a bit of elbow grease, scrub.
5. De-clog the Plughole
First of all you need to get all the hair out, try using an old crochet hook, it will make the job much easier. Put all the yukky hair in the bin and pour some drain cleaner down pug hole. Leave for half an hour and rinse with water.
